Boleto payment confirmation times (Brazil)
Last updated: February 23, 2026
Payments made via Boleto in Brazil can take up to 3 business days to be confirmed in the platform after the customer completes the payment.
How Boleto confirmation works
When a customer pays with Boleto, the confirmation depends on when the payment was completed:
Payment completed before 1:00 PM (13h Brazil time):
Typically confirmed the same day
Payment completed after 1:00 PM (13h Brazil time):
Typically confirmed the next business day
Can take up to 3 business days in some cases
Important: Business days = Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and Brazilian holidays.
What merchants see in the dashboard
You will not see the Boleto payment in your dashboard until it has been confirmed by the payment processor.
When confirmed: The payment will appear in the Payments section with an "Approved" state, and the funds will begin their settlement period.
Before confirmation: The payment will not be visible in your dashboard, even if the customer has already paid the Boleto.
What to tell your customers
After the customer pays the Boleto: "Your Boleto payment can take up to 3 business days to be confirmed."
If payment isn't confirmed after 3 business days
If a customer reports they paid a Boleto and it still hasn't been confirmed after 3 business days:
Verify the payment was completed at least 3 business days ago (not counting weekends or Brazilian holidays)
Request proof of payment from the customer (bank receipt or confirmation)
Contact support@rebill.com with:

We'll investigate and verify the payment status with the payment processor.
Why Boleto takes longer than cards
Boleto is an offline payment method that requires bank processing and settlement before the payment can be confirmed. This is different from credit/debit cards, which are confirmed instantly or within minutes.
Card payments: Instant confirmation
Boleto payments: 1-3 business days for confirmation
