Refund time limits by country and payment method

Each country and payment method has a maximum time limit to process refunds. After this period, you can no longer refund the payment through the dashboard.

Time limits

Argentina 🇦🇷

Card payments: No limit


Brazil 🇧🇷

  • Card payments: 180 days from payment date

  • PIX (bank transfer): 90 days from payment date


Chile 🇨🇱

Card payments: 120 days from payment date


Colombia 🇨🇴

Card payments: 180 days from payment date


Mexico 🇲🇽

Card payments: 120 days from payment date


Payment methods not listed

For payment methods not specified in this list, refunds are not yet supported through the dashboard and have an 180 days time limit from creation date.

If you need to refund a payment collected with a payment method not listed here, please contact us at support@rebill.com.


What happens after the time limit expires

Once the refund window closes, you cannot process refunds through Rebill.

If a customer requests a refund after this period, you'll need to handle it outside the platform (e.g., bank transfer, alternative payment method).
